Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement-5 Year Extension

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) has extended the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) for five more years, until October 1, 2024, to support the U.S. Department of Defense's emergency deployment and sustainment needs. The agreement aims to provide intermodal shipping services to the Department of Defense through cooperation between the maritime industry, the Department of Transportation, and the Department of Defense.
