Coast Guard Establishes Temporary Safety Zone for Roar Offshore Boat Race
The U.S. Coast Guard is setting up a temporary safety zone in the Gulf of Mexico near Fort Myers Beach, Florida, to protect participants, spectators, and the general public during the Roar Offshore boat race. The zone restricts access to all vessels and people except those participating in the high-speed boat race, requiring permission from the Captain of the Port St. Petersburg or a designated representative.
