EPA Establishes Time-Limited Tolerance for Clothianidin Residues in Rice

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has set a new, temporary limit of 0.5 parts per million (ppm) for clothianidin residues in rice, following an emergency exemption under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) for the use of thiamethoxam on rice, which is a major metabolite of clothianidin.
