SEC Proposes to Rescind Provision Allowing NMS Plan Fee Amendments to Take Effect Upon Filing

The Securities and Exchange Commission is proposing to amend Regulation NMS under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 to rescind a provision that would have allowed proposed amendments to national market system plans to become effective upon filing if they established or changed fees, and instead would require the Commission to publish the proposed amendment, provide public comment, and obtain approval before it can take effect.
