DHS Finalizes REAL ID Rule, Ends Acceptance of Non-Compliant Licenses

The Department of Homeland Security has clarified its REAL ID regulation, stating that it will no longer accept non-compliant driver's licenses and identification cards for official purposes, effective immediately, as of October 1, 2020.
