EPA Approves Arkansas Plan to Reduce SO2 Emissions

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a portion of Arkansas's State Implementation Plan, which addresses two interstate transport requirements for the 2010 sulfur dioxide National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS). The plan ensures that the state's air emissions will not significantly contribute to nonattainment or interfere with maintenance of the standard in other states.
