FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Boeing 747-400 and 747-400F Series

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Boeing's 747-400 and 747-400F models, requiring inspections to address fatigue cracks in the underwing longerons and fuselage skins, in order to ensure the safe operation of these aircraft.
