NMFS Extends Comment Period for Coho Salmon Enhancement Permits

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is extending the public comment period for 14 applications to enhance survival permits for the Southern Oregon/Northern California Coast (SONCC) coho salmon Evolutionary Significant Unit (ESU), which is listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The comment period, initially set to close on December 31, 2019, has been extended to January 31, 2020, to allow for more public input.
