FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Boeing 787-8 Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Boeing 787-8 airplanes due to an engineering issue with the wing spar terminal fitting supplier, which may lead to reduced fatigue capability and increase the risk of cracking. The directive requires repetitive inspections and on-condition actions to address the unsafe condition on these aircraft.
