NMFS Implements Amendment 28 to Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has finalized a rule to update the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan, closing certain areas to bottom trawling to protect groundfish habitats and re-opening others to rebuild depleted stocks, in accordance with the Magnuson-Stevens Act and the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act.
