U.S. Department of Education and Department of Defense Establish Matching Program for Service Members Deployed to High-Risk Areas

The U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Defense have established a matching program to provide no-interest accrual benefits to service members deployed to areas qualifying for imminent danger pay or hostile fire pay, allowing the Department to offer qualifying loans under the Higher Education Act of 1965.
