Temporary Safety Zone for Explosive Dredging in Tongass Narrows, Ketchikan, AK

The U.S. Coast Guard is proposing to create a temporary safety area in the Tongass Narrows, near Ketchikan, Alaska, to protect people and vessels from potential hazards during an explosive dredging operation scheduled to take place between December 16, 2019, and January 31, 2020. The proposed rule would restrict access to the area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Southeast Alaska or a designated representative.
