HHS Policy for the Protection of Human Research Subjects

The Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has exempted two categories of research from the requirement of using a single institutional review board (IRB) for review under HHS regulations for the protection of human subjects, specifically research conducted or supported by HHS.
