Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for the Proposed Whitewater River Groundwater Replenishment Facility

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Palm Springs- South Coast Field Office is announcing the start of the scoping process for the proposed Whitewater River Groundwater Replenishment Facility in Riverside County, California, in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976. The project, proposed by the Coachella Valley Water District, involves operating and maintaining a groundwater replenishment facility on approximately 690 acres of public lands.
