Republic Services Seeks Exemption from Hours of Service Regulations for Short-Haul Drivers

Republic Services has submitted an application to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for an exemption from the hours of service regulations for its short-haul drivers, seeking to extend the 12-hour return-to-duty window to 14 hours and relax electronic logging device (ELD) requirements for affiliated companies.
