EPA Finds Seven States Failed to Submit Clean Air Act Plans for Ozone NAAQS
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has taken final action, finding that seven states have not submitted required infrastructure State Implementation Plans (SIPs) to meet interstate transport requirements for the 2015 8-hour ozone national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS). The EPA now has a 2-year deadline to promulgate Federal Implementation Plans (FIPs) to address these requirements, unless the states submit and the EPA approves a SIP that meets the requirements.
