U.S. Navy to Regulate Marine Mammal Taking Incidental to Training Activities in Atlantic Fleet Study Area

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is issuing regulations to govern the taking of marine mammals incidental to the U.S. Navy's training and testing activities in the Atlantic Fleet Training and Testing Study Area, effective from November 13, 2023, to November 13, 2025, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) and the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2019.
