Healthcare Industry Seeks New Safe Harbors and Fraud Alerts Under HIPAA

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is soliciting proposals to develop new safe harbor provisions and special fraud alerts under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the Social Security Act, in accordance with section 205 of HIPAA.
