Massachusetts Petition for Exemption Denied by U.S. Department of Energy
The U.S. Department of Energy has denied a petition by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to exempt its energy efficiency standard for residential non-weatherized gas furnaces from federal preemption, allowing the state to continue enforcing its energy conservation program.
