U.S. NRC Grants Exemption to Holtec for Reduced Insurance Requirements at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved a request from Holtec Pilgrim, LLC and Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC to lower the required primary offsite liability insurance coverage for the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station from $450 million to $100 million, and eliminate secondary financial protection requirements.
