NRC Extends Comment Period for Low-Level Waste Disposal Regulations

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has extended the public comment period on a proposed rule allowing licensees to dispose of low-level radioactive waste by transferring it to individuals with specific exemptions until July 20, 2020, and has also established an email address for public comments.
