NRC Confirms Effective Date for Holtec International HI-STORM Flood/Wind Multipurpose Canister Storage System Amendment

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has confirmed the effective date of July 14, 2020, for a direct final rule that revises the Holtec International HI-STORM Flood/Wind Multipurpose Canister Storage System listing within the List of approved spent fuel storage casks. The rule amendment includes changes to the storage and content of the canister, as well as updates to the final safety analysis report.
