U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Approves Holtec International's HI-STORM Flood/Wind Storage System

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has confirmed the effective date of July 27, 2020, for a direct final rule that amends the agency's spent fuel storage regulations, allowing the use of Holtec International's HI-STORM Flood/Wind Multipurpose Canister Storage System with Amendment No. 5 to Certificate of Compliance No. 1032.
