NRC Confirms Effective Date for Revised Spent Fuel Storage Regulations

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has confirmed the effective date of September 14, 2020, for a direct final rule that revises spent fuel storage regulations, adding the TN Americas LLC, Standardized NUHOMS Horizontal Modular Storage System, to the list of approved casks, following Renewed Amendment No. 16 to Certificate of Compliance No. 1004.
