Exelon Seeks Exemptions to Reduce Emergency Planning Activities at Three Mile Island Nuclear Station

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission is considering exemptions that would allow Exelon Generation Company, LLC to reduce emergency planning activities at Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, due to reduced risks at the permanently shut-down TMI-1 and possession-only licensed TMI-2, while maintaining certain onsite capabilities and offsite emergency management plans.
