Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. to Undergo Background Checks for Participation in ITAAC Proceeding at Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Unit 4

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will require public participation in a hearing process for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Unit 4 to ensure compliance with the acceptance criteria in the combined license (COL), and has established a pre-clearance process to facilitate background checks for those who need access to Safeguards Information (SGI) to file a hearing request.
