U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to Review Decommissioning Financial Assurance Regulations

The NRC will consider changes to its decommissioning financial assurance regulations for sealed and unsealed byproduct material, following a petition submitted by Matthew McKinley on behalf of the Organization of Agreement States, which seeks to make the regulations more risk-informed and amend the radionuclide possession values table.
