U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Approves Transfer of Indian Point Nuclear Plant Licenses to Holtec

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved the transfer of operating licenses for the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Station to Holtec International, allowing the company to take over operations from Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. The transfer includes the Provisional Operating License No. DPR-5 for Unit No. 1, Renewed Facility Operating Licenses for Units No. 2 and 3, and a general license for the independent spent fuel storage installation.
