NRC Issues New Regulatory Guide for Addressing Nonconservative Technical Specifications

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is issuing a new Regulatory Guide (RG 1.239) to provide guidance on how nuclear power plant licensees can address nonconservative technical specifications. The new guide aligns with existing guidance in NEI 15-03, Revision 3, and is acceptable to NRC staff for licensee actions.
