This direct final rule removes the obsolete provisions to eliminate unnecessary duplication and improves regulatory clarity for manufacturers, testing laboratories, regulators, and the public. This action does not eliminate or reduce any mandatory federal safety standard applicable to infant bouncer seats or stationary activity centers. Both product categories will remain subject to the Commission's mandatory safety standards.
