FCC Proposes Reforms to Inmate Calling Services Rates

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is proposing to lower rates for interstate and international inmate calling services, capping rates at $0.14 per minute for debit, prepaid, and collect calls from prisons and $0.16 per minute for debit, prepaid, and collect calls from jails, and invites comment on additional data requirements and evolving regulation of the industry.
