FDA Releases Final Guidance on National Health Related Item Code and National Drug Code Numbers on Device Labels and Packages

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced the availability of a final guidance on its policy regarding the use of National Health Related Item Code (NHRIC) and National Drug Code (NDC) numbers on device labels and packages, allowing for the continued use of FDA legacy identification numbers for finished devices manufactured before September 24, 2023.
