SNAP 2008 Farm Bill Provisions Clarification and Benefit Changes

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) regulations have been updated to reflect changes made by the 2008 and 2018 Farm Bills, including provisions for monthly benefit issuance allotments, off-line storage of benefits, and permanent expungement of unused benefits. The rule also updates the program's name to SNAP and reflects the use of Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) systems for benefit issuance.
