USDA Forest Service Issues Final Rule for Conveyance of Small Tracts

The USDA Forest Service is implementing changes to the Small Tracts Act, enacted in the 2018 Farm Bill, to expand eligibility for land conveyance outside the National Forest System, including parcels with limited accessibility and those encroached upon by permanent habitations.
