EPO to Make Digital Filing and Notification Mandatory Starting April 1, 2027

The European Patent Office (EPO) is set to fully transition to a digital patent granting process, making digital filing and notification mandatory for all users starting April 1, 2027, following years of collaboration with users to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the system.
