Public Comment Period Opened for Administrative Waiver of Coastwise Trade Laws for Vessel BLUE CHIP III

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) is seeking public comments on a request to waive U.S.-build requirements for a vessel, the BLUE CHIP III, which would allow it to carry up to 12 passengers for hire, provided it is three years old or more. The waiver would enable the vessel to operate under the coastwise trade laws.
