DoD Proposes Updates to DFARS for Domestic Sourcing of Athletic Footwear and National Technology Base

The US Department of Defense (DoD) is proposing to update the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to require domestic sourcing for athletic footwear purchases below the simplified acquisition threshold for new military recruits. The proposed changes also add Australia and the United Kingdom to the National Technology and Industrial Base definition.
