EPA Proposes Exclusion for Hazardous Waste Management System

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to grant a petition by Sandvik Special Metals to exclude up to 1,500 cubic yards of wastewater treatment sludge from federal hazardous waste regulations, citing that the waste is nonhazardous and meets state-only requirements in Washington or federally-authorized requirements in other states.
