NMFS Transfers 60 Metric Tons of Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Quota to September 2018 Subquota Period

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has transferred 60 metric tons of Atlantic bluefin tuna quota from the Reserve category to the September 2018 subquota period, closing the General category fishery for large, medium, and giant bluefin tuna until October 1, 2018, to prevent overharvesting of the adjusted subquota.
