NMFS Grants Preliminary Approval for Exempted Fishing Permit Application for Yellowtail Flounder Fishery

The Acting Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries, Greater Atlantic Region, NMFS, has given preliminary approval for an Exempted Fishing Permit application, which would exempt one commercial fishing vessel from Northeast multispecies fishery minimum fish size regulations in the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization's yellowtail flounder fishery, to support a study on equivalent length and weight ratios of fish caught in the fishery.
