NMFS Preliminarily Approves Exempted Fishing Permit Application from Coonamessett Farm Foundation

The Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries, Greater Atlantic Region, NMFS, has made a preliminary determination that an Exempted Fishing Permit application from the Coonamessett Farm Foundation is complete and warrants further consideration. This permit would enable participating commercial fishing vessels to temporarily hold undersized monkfish for biological sampling during regular fishing operations in the Southern Fishery Management Area.
