CIGIE Issues Interim Final Rule to Update FOIA Regulations

The Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) is releasing an interim final rule to incorporate changes to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) made by the FOIA Improvement Act of 2016 and the Inspector General Empowerment Act of 2016, aiming to enhance transparency and efficiency in government information disclosure.
