NMFS Proposes to Allow Possession of Atlantic Mackerel After 100% Domestic Harvest
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is proposing to modify the Atlantic Mackerel, Squid, and Butterfish Fishery Management Plan to allow the possession of up to 5,000 pounds of Atlantic mackerel after the domestic annual harvest is completed, in order to prevent unintended consequences and negative economic impacts on other fisheries.
