EPA Denies Petitions from Delaware and Maryland Under Clean Air Act
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has denied petitions from the states of Delaware and Maryland under the Clean Air Act, which requested the EPA to find that emissions from specific sources in other states are contributing to nonattainment of ozone standards. The EPA denied the petitions due to existing regulations addressing emissions from these facilities, including the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule Update for the 2008 ozone NAAQS (CSAPR Update).
