Interest Assumptions for Paying Benefits in Terminated Single-Employer Plans

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation has updated its regulation to include interest assumptions for valuing benefits in terminated single-employer plans, effective November 2018, to ensure accurate benefit payments under the pension insurance system.
