HHS Proposes Removal of Compliance Deadline for Closed-Circuit Escape Respirators

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is proposing to revise regulations that require respirator manufacturers to stop producing, labeling, and selling certain self-contained self-rescuer models by a certain date, in order to prevent a shortage of escape respirators for underground coal miners.
