FMCSA Grants Waste Management Exemption for Short-Haul Drivers

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has granted Waste Management Holdings, Inc.'s (WMH) request to exempt its drivers from the 12-hour return-to-work rule for short-haul drivers using the records of duty status (RODS) exception. The exemption allows drivers to collect waste and recycling materials within a 14-hour window.
