TVA to Close Shawnee Fossil Plant Landfills, Build New Water Basin

The Tennessee Valley Authority has decided to close two landfills at the Shawnee Fossil Plant and construct a new water basin to manage coal combustion residual waste in accordance with federal and state regulations.
