EPA Withdraws Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act Rule

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has withdrawn its proposed rule on health and environmental protection standards for uranium and thorium mill tailings, citing concerns over its authority and the need for a national rulemaking, as well as a lack of new ISR license applications.
