Coast Guard Proposes Safety Zone for Fireworks Displays Along Upper Potomac River

The U.S. Coast Guard is proposing a temporary safety zone along the Upper Potomac River in Washington, D.C., to protect life during recurring fireworks displays from January 12, 2019, to December 31, 2019. The proposed rule would restrict access to the area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Maryland-National Capital Region or a designated representative.
